In today’s Internet Marketing Strategy, we will be going back to blogging tips: Niche Blogging. What is niche blogging? It means that you are blogging on a particular subject or topic, this is also called focused blogging. Like for example you are interested in food review, which is very general, but if you are only blogging about Indian food only, this is niche blogging.

Why would I want to do only one topic blogging instead of different topic in my blog? It will make sense that more people will be coming to my blog this way? It is because niche blogging will be bringing targeted audience to your blog, and they will most properly become your loyal readers if you have provided good and interesting content that is relevant to them.

Another reason is that, with few topics or subjects on a blog, it will confuse your readers as they did not come to read your other subject but only to the one they are interested in only. Though you will be broad in traffic, but they will not be staying long and will most properly look for blogs that will give them what they are interested in.

If you look at the top 100 blogs in Technorati, the blogs there are very niche in their subject, sometimes they are so niche that they are talking only about a particular. have a look there.

So how do I start my niche blogging?

It is best that is something that you passionate about, particularly one that can substain you for about 5 years, because you do not want to give up blogging your niche and abandoning your readers. Usually with that age in blogging in your niche will stagment, and it may be time to sell it away for a profit.

Here are some tips how you can start a niche blogging

1) Find out the related topics in your niche, because they are going to be under your categories of your blog.

2) Research on other blogs that has the same niche as you, and you might want to link up with them in the near future.

3) Go to a forum that talks about your niche, you will also want to bring traffic from there with signature and some blog posts you have posted that is related to their questions.

4) Get a book or two that talks about your niche, you will be surprise to find things you do not know about them.

5)Comment on other blog that has the same niche. Note that you have to comment intelligently, and hopefully putting a link to your post that is related to the other blog post. Read more about commenting on other blogs.

6) Be focus on your topic only!

Remember that going niche means going deep, if you are deep enough, you will be getting lots of traffic to you. Be focus on your niche only. Share with others about this post, click link below to tell others.

I am a full time marketer, and you can say that I am a full time blogger as well. I did not start out as a full time blogger, I started as a part time blogger, and my first website was a blog too.

I will share with you how you can still continue working on your full time job, yet still producing good quality and great blogging post. The key here is not quantity but quality. It is quality that you will grow your blog into a traffic generating machine.

In my previous post on blogging frequently, that if you are a full time blogger then you should do so. Normally a full time blogger will post once daily or twice for some, it is only if you have something good to share then you can blog, if you have nothing in your mind then you need not do any new posting.

Previously I was in a seminar company, and it was there where I learn my Internet Marketing skills from other Internet marketers. If anyone out there working in a seminar or event company, you will know that we have very long working hours and most of the time working on the weekends too, so time is very important for me. I had to prioritize what is important and what is not. As I was blogging about the what I learn from attending seminars, sharing with the world what I learn. And have quite a good result from that part time and fun blogging. It was when I got emails from the readers interested in our seminars, that was the time that got me really focusing on the blog.

Due to the work I am holding, I had to set aside time for blogging on the blog. I make sure that after a seminar is over, I blog about the seminar and comment how I feel about the event, and whatever new seminar or announce speakers coming to Singapore, I will blog about it. I will try to blog no more than 500 words, as it will take up like an hour to write them, you may be faster than me.

If your niche is different from mine, most properly you will have to blog more frequently than me, I was sometime blogging once a month and the most were 4 posts a month. Setting aside time in blogging is very important for your blog to be growing. For me I will write my post on days that I have a lot of ideas or have trigger my mind to think, then will I write the new posts. But that is not very productive, now I train myself to write my posts on specific days, the days that I am writing is Mondays and Thursdays. You need not follow my schedule, you have to find the day(s) that you are most comfortable with and free from your job. I post three times a week for this blog.

With the posts that you have written, you can set the new written posts in different dates, scheduling them differently. I have heard from some internet marketers that they know what they will be posting next month. This is where I want to go into as well. For me now, I can only set the dates for a week. This is how the internet marketers do, they make sure that on every Tuesdays, Thursday and Saturdays, a new post is posted, and the theme for the scheduled post are somehow relevant to the previous and future posts.

If you really want to see success, then these are the few advices that you must take as a part time blogger working with a full time job. That will be all for today’s internet marketing strategy, do comment and share with your friends. To your success, cheers!

For every new bloggers out there, they will tend to use a free theme for their blog, I did that when I first started. Of course there are cons in using the free wordpress themes, but today I will share more on why you should use a customized one rather than a free one.

Customized blog theme looks unique from the other blog themes, because it is the one and only (unless your blog theme designer was not ethical) in the world. You see that everyone is unique in their looks and character, so your blog should also look unique and have it’s own character. Your blog should reflect your personalities, and your blog readers will relate to you more. You will have to communicate with your blog designer and tell him/her what is it you are like and the niche you are in as well.

Readers will remember your blog more as it is different from others, giving them a deeper impression. The readers will not think ‘this is just another blog‘ and move on, instead this will increase the chances of them returning to your blog. Of course your content must be good as well to draw them back for more.

Most of the time when I see a blogger has their own unique blog, they tend to look much nicer than the average ones. There are of course free blog theme that are nice looking too, but will have defeat the purpose to stand out from the rest if you use them.

Another reason why you should use a customized blog theme is to brand yourself. Branding is not just for corporate companies, but also for individual. Branding yourself as an expert in your niche, will bring in more targeted readers to you, that is why your blog theme must be related to your niche.

One of the main reasons for new bloggers not to use a customized blog theme, is that they are expensive. The customized blog theme can sometimes go as high as over USD $1,000, would’nt that discourage you? I sure did.

A quick advise on customized blogging theme is that you may not want to use it now, as you may be new and not getting a lot of traffic, but in due time when you are more successful, getting more traffic, getting more sales, you should use them to keep your readers coming back for more.

That will be all for today’s internet marketing strategy, comment or share below on what is your thoughts. To your success! Cheers!

Part 6 of the blogging tips series will be touching on using Wordpress plugins to optimize your blog. As blogging is a Search Engine Optimization strategy, you must use it to strengthen the area, as WordPress blogs are not fully SEOed, so plugins must be used to improve on that. Most of the time the traffic will come from the organic search for your blog, that is why you need to have a structured plan to reach your targeted readers.

As I have shared previously that a On-Page Optimization is a very important first step in Search Engine Optimization. How your blogging works is that it focus on a theme for example “Scuba Diving” niche, then separate the niche into different categories like “History”, “Diving Beach” or “Diving Equipment”, then from there onwards you will use the on-page optimization method for each post to strengthen the categories keywords, and lastly the categories keywords will strengthen the niche keywords.

The Wordpress plugin to use is called “All In One SEO” byMichael Torbert. It has a title tag, a description tag and a keyword tag, where you can use put in the long tail keywords into each of the three tag. Read On-Page Optimization for more info.

Here you will be able to fully optimize the long tail keywords, as long as you put them into the three tags. There are other plugins that will help in generating traffic to your blog like “Google XML Sitemaps” byArne Brachhold, this plugin will inform Google, Yahoo, MSN and ASK.com via RSS that you have a new post. In this way your post will be view by the searchers of the search engines within a few days. The fastest that I have with Google is 45 minutes.

That will be all for today’s internet marketing strategy, do comment and share with your friends. To your success, cheers!

When someone makes the decision to begin blogging, the most important thing is the commitment to take the plunge. It’s easy to make the first small steps, but many will not follow through. They may find it’s not as easy as they thought to come up with content, or they may be intimidated by the number of people and amount of information that’s already out there.

The only way to know if this is really what you want to do is to give it an honest attempt. You may find that it’s simply not your “cup of tea”. But like anything in life, if you don’t give yourself a chance, you’ll never have the opportunity to succeed. Some people will find that they really love this type of work, and they will go on to be true champions. Such people will enjoy the effort they need to put into it. They will be willing to go through the “trial-and-error” period where they find their unique voice. For these people, their dedication will pay off, and they will achieve their goals.

You may want to start as a Google Blogger by getting a free account through Wordpress.com, Blogger.com, etc. Besides being free, they make it easy to get started. You’ll have a chance to try the process out without risking anything. You’ll be able to experiment with style and content. It’s a good place to learn from the mistakes that you will inevitably make. But if you want to be really successful, you will want to move on from here. You will want to distinguish yourself, and these are not the places to do that.

The problem with free sites is that they are not yours. You do not control them, so they could end up closing down. You don’t want to spend time making a name for yourself, and then see it all disappear. You may also want the option to sell a blog that you have made successful. It’s also much better for your image to have your own blog with a unique name – it simply looks more professional and will attract more people than a generic site.

If you decide that blogging is something you want to take seriously, it’s worth registering your own domain. You can get a name that helps distinguish it as a unique place. You can control the content, the advertising policy, and the look and style of the blog. Since you own it you will have the option to sell it at some point in the future, if you decide to move on to another enterprise.

If you are willing to put in the time and effort, this could end up being a very enjoyable and rewarding career.

That will be all for today internet marketing strategy, feel free to comment and share with us on your thoughts. Cheers!!!

Do you sometimes not knowing what to blog about? No idea what to write? I was there before and will go there again. I have found a solution to write the content and also good build up long tail keywords for search engine optimization. It is to use the actual search term as the blog title.

Why would I want to do that?

First of all, these are search terms that people type to find on the search engines. If your blog post has the same search term as your blog post title, Google will find the most relevant web page for the search term, so the chances of your blog post being in the first page of the serch term is very high.

Second is that, these actual search term was searched by human beings, so daily search though low but when you have the rest of the blog post doing the same thing. It will be a huge number. For example, a blog post has 5 search daily, what if you have 100 posts that has 5 traffic each? The total traffic for your blog will be 250 for a day. Not bad for new bloggers. Of course, the search term must be something related to your niche, or it will not be relevant to your blog theme.

Lastly, the search term is usually a problem that the searchers are finding, in the blog post you will want to give them solution, or even advice to them. This way, they will think that you providing good content to their solution. This will turn them into a royal reader of yours. This is a very good way to have recurring readers coming to your blog.

Depending on what topic you are talking about, the volume of traffic will varies a lot. As I am talking about Internet Marketing Strategies, the search terms will not be a lot, but the traffic I have are people wanting to learn more about internet marketing. Imagine when you have 500 post now in you blog, that means you will have about 2,500 traffic to your blog.

Remember that if you are doing this in the long term, you will always have traffic ccoming to your blog. You must find out the search term then start writing the blog post. How I find the actual search term is by using Word Tracker, which has been a great SEO and keyword research tool.

That will all for today’s internet marketing strategy, feel free to share and comment if you find this post useful. Cheers!

Normal bloggers will usually do what they like to do after they have post, like ‘Counter Strike’, PSP, eat, drink beer, sleep, etc… Things that will not get traffic to your blog. So what should you do after you finish posting a post? Below are some of what I think you should do after posting, if you seriously want to succeed in this Internet Marketing world.

Commenting: I have said in my previous post that comment is one way to generate traffic to your post. But in this cast you need to comment in a post that is related to your post. In this case it will be easier for you to drive that reader to you. Of course you have to put in smart and added value comment, then will the reader be interested to read your post.

Forum Marketing: This is also one area where a lot of bloggers do not do, a lot of people will want to have solutions to their problems, all you need to do is to direct them to the related post and there you have it, more traffic.

Email Marketing: This is where most internet marketers do, to drive traffic to their post. Telling their list that they have written a new post, and thousands of people will be looking at the post in that one day. Of course, it does not mean that everyone on the list will go over to the blog to view the new post. That is why you need to create that suspense that will keep your lists wanting to know more on what you are writing. It is just like the newspaper, the headline will determine how much of the list will want to read your news.

Social Network Marketing: In this area, you will need to set up social network like FaceBook, MySpace, Friendster, etc… It will be best if you have at least 500 friends in one social network, but if you do not it is still ok. All you need to do is to build your social network friends (preferable of the same interest in your niche) to that amount and more. Good news is that FaceBook will automate your new blog to your FaceBook profile, thus lettering all your friends see your post. The other social network, you will have to post to all, informing your friends about your now blog post.

Guest Post in other blogs: This is one of the ultimate way you can do, when you have a lots of content in your blog. For example, I am doing a series of blogging tips in my blog. What you need to do is to find a blog that is looking for someone to guest blog in, the blog must have at least a page rank 3, that the Alexa ranking is 1 million and below. Blog a post on a summary of the blogging tips you have on the other blog, you will see traffic coming in to your blog and incoming links from other blogs. This is killing two birds with one stone.

Well I am not sure if you want to succeed in the internet marketing world, but I sure do. This method is not for everyone, but for those hungry to increase traffic and get the sale. If you are a casual blogger, it is ok to do your things after your new post, all you need to do is to blog frequently and with unique content to share. As time goes by, a blog will increase in ranking, with good SEO and good internal linking. it will take you there.

Thank you for reading this post, as another day in sharing internet marketing strategy with you, if you feel you have something to share or comment, please feel free to do so below. Or there are friends who you think need to read this post, do it below also. God bless you. Cheers!

Why Commenting On Other Blogs?

A lot of people were wondering how on earth did bloggers get over 2,000 incoming links within like 2 months, commenting on other blogs will do the trick.

By commenting on other blogs (that allows you to link to your website URL), will be able to generate that much links in two months. But what they do not know that Google will be able to track their incoming links from. Here are some factors that Google is looking at, when you are commenting on other blogs:

Tips On Commenting

Relevance: This is has always been the core interest of Google providing relevance to the online searchers. If we as website owners and bloggers do not follow this core interest Google has, they will prefer to increase the ranking or even search results that provide relevance for the searchers.

Inconsistent Incoming Links: Google also tracks down how many incoming links in time. For example, if you left 10 comment on other blogs in first month, follow by 200 comments on the second, then 20 comments on the third month. Google will deem you as inconsistent, and unnatural incoming links. Google wants to have good natural incoming links to your websites or blogs, so your comments must be consistance.

Pointing To URL Only: This is also one of the trade secrets a lot of bloggers do not know. Most bloggers when commenting, will most properly leave their website or blog domain name on the comment. What they do not realised is that sometimes the post which you commented is not relevant to the latest blog post on your blog, or the latest 5 ~ 10 posts at all. To Google it is also unnatural to just point all the links to the URL only.

You might be asking what should we do so that Google will rank us (bloggers) higher in page ranks and search results using commenting. Here goes:

Correct Way To Comment

Comment the most 3 times a day: You got it, because if you are not able to be natural (consistent) in your link building strategy, Google will suspect that you bought the links, and they are mostly unrelated websites or blogs. This is bad for you, so your goal for your blog, will be doing this for a year, and you will see a massive traffic result coming, but do it naturally.

Link To Related Post Only: As Google loves relevance, so give it to them.

Search Engine Optimization guide line: For a guide have at least 3 incoming links to one single post, that will build the traffic structure very firm on your blog, making it look very healthy in Google’s view.

Leave Smart Comment: When you leave a comment, try to give resourceful feedback or add values to the comment. If not, you can add” Thank you for the post.” Something that normal, people will think that you are one of the link builders who do not know anything. But if you leave a unique and added value to the reader, they will like to know more about you.

As you can see the past previously posts talking about Google’s policy on their search engines, you do not want to mess with Google as it has 70% of the online users on Google side. After you have secure your position as the top 10 in a particular keywords, then go ahead and focus on the other search engines, using the 80/20 rule. 20% on Google, 80% on other search engines.

That will be all for today’s internet marketing strategy, and I hope you have learn from this post, do comment or share below, on the above topic. If you think your friends might find this post interesting, share with them and others online. Cheers!

There is like a new blog created every second reported by BBC News, just as I was typing this post, thousands of new blogs would have been created then. Why is blogging so popular now? The main reason is that the internet was build to give information to the world, in the past and currently the normal static websites are not able to keep up with new updates to meet that need. So someone used blog to fashion that need instead.

Blog is initially used to keep personal journal online, and to tell the world about your life (sort of like Jim Carrey’s moive “The Truman Show”, but with their consent). It has reached a new level of giving information to the world. Here are the reasons why blogging is in the rise in popularity:

Easy setup

Voice personal views

Free or own the blog

Two way communication via comment

Easily index

Not much internet technique skills needed

Why we as bloggers must blog frequently is that major search engines, like Google loves new contend, and blogging can provide that need to Google fast enough. When we blog frequently (prefered daily blogging), Google will update our content to their search engines, thus making our blog open to more ways for searchers to find us via search engines. The search engine spiders will also come to your blog daily to update, and thus making Google take notice of your blog.

You might ask what should I be blogging? That depends on what is your passion and interest. You would not want to blog something that does not interest you at all, you blog because the topic is hot now. This is a mistake a lot of new bloggers do, and that was me when I first started too. I do not know what to blog, and I am not really interested in learning that topic as well. So you can see that you must love what you blog about.

Now I have 2 challenges for you and for me as well, that is to blog for 30 days straight, with one post at least daily. Second challenge is that you must comment on some related blogs for 30 days straight, with at least 3 comments. Note that you must link back your comment on the related blog back to your own blog. This is to build incoming links and to draw readers to your blog via comment. On the comment, do comment some useful content or added ones, this way the readers will be interested to know you more, by clicking the link back to your blog. By the end of the 30 days, you will see a great increase in traffic to your blog.

There can be other reasons which I may have left out on the popularity of blog, if you think there are other reason beside the 6 above, do share with us on the comment. I will continue to share internet market strategy that will help you in your internet business. If you think that you want to share more about on this post, please comment bolow. Or if you think this post is great, please share with someone, using the “Share This” button below. Thank you.

What You Need To Know About On-Page Optimization For Your Blog

A blog is actually Search Engine Optimization in disguise, so the basic SEO principles applies in blogging as well. In order to drive targeted traffic to your blog, first you must be able to do a full on-page optimization for a single blog post first then focus on off page optimization. The on-page optimization is 25% of the traffic generation, 75% will be off-page. Let’s move on to the real thing.

Before we start, I will assume that you are using personal WordPress.org (self hosted blog) and not WordPress.com. As WordPress.com is unable to do a full on-page optimization. You have to install this plungin called “All In One SEO Pack” by Micheal Torbert. This is one of the essential of using WordPress.org to do on-page optimization.

The “All In One SEO Pack” consists of a title tag, description tag, and keywords tag which is what you need in doing. I presume you have install it into your wordpress blog. Now for the real work.

Title Tag: It is the title of the post that is found on the top left hand of the internet window. This will tell the web servers and the searchers what your post is about. It is said to be the most important element for on-page optimization. Because your primary keywords for the post will be found here. It will appear like a headline when people searches for your related post.

Description Tag: It is what it says it is, description/summary of the post. Usually internet marketers will use it like a short sales copy, telling you to click into the link. Your primary keywords for the post should also appear here as well. Note that you should be writing to a human being, so if the sentence do not make sense to a human being, they will not click the link. So write humanly, yet having the keyword in the description tag as well.

Keywords Tag: This is where you put in the primary keywords here. For this keyword tag it is not that useful as before, but we still must put the keywords here to optimize the keywords. Important: Do not keyword stuff into the keyword tag, but put in the most 2 ~ 3 keyword phrase that derive from your primary keyword.

H1 Tag: This is the 1st heading, that is like the headline for this post. It must also include the primary keywords in it. Remember to write in a humanly form. This has some weight in the on-page optimization, but sometime it might not make sense to have a H1 Tag instead, as it might not look good in your post. Of course, this can be rectified when you know some basic HTML code to change it to the size you want.

Body Content: This is where you write your post in your blog. A rule of thumb is to have no more than 5% of your keyword shown in your post. It means that for every 100 words, 5 of the is the keyword you want to target on. This is very important. DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT have more than 5% primary keyword appear in the content.

Alt Tag: It is called alternate tag in short. It is the name of pictures or photos, if the photos and pictures do not appear, the wordings will appear instead. The wordings must have the keyword in it as well. For example, “keyword1.gpg”. This will tell the search spider this is the name of the picture with the keyword as the name.

Premalink (page name): This is page name of the post, where of course the primary keyword must appear as well. In blogging, it usually will be the name of the title. It will appear like this: www.YourDomain.com/title-tag-of -post-here/. Of couse you need to amend something to get this result. Go login to your blog, go to setting and click on ‘premalinks’. Here you will be ask to set the premalink setting. Select ‘Month and name’, and in the custom structure will appear this (/%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%/), you need to do is to delete the bolded wordings and percentage sign. Lastly in the custom structure will only appear (/%postname%/), select custom structure and save the setting. You are done now.

That will be all for on-page optimization for blogging post. I am glad to share internet marketing strategy with you. Please comment on the post if you find this info useful.

As you can see, mine is in education. Sharing with you on internet marketing knowledge. So I am driving traffic from the education side. There are some blogging platform which you might be interested in using, but the one I will strongly recommend is WordPress. You can choose the free hosting or using your own hosting type. I will strongly recommend the hosting type, as you own the content of your blog.

Well you can always start on any of the four types above. Here are some tips before you start blogging.

Market Research – Determine the volume of traffic you will be getting for that particular niche.

Promote Product – After your market research, you have to decide which product to sell. To be an affiliate or create a new product.

Write Content – Determine the primary keywords of the product, expand from there, and write content on the determined expanded keywords.

Add Tags – This is like telling the web spiders that these are the keywords related to the blog content.

Add Affiliate Links – This is an important thing you must do, if someone comes to views your blog, interested in the product and buys it through your affiliate link.

Well this the basic of blogging, of course there are some other SEO strategy you need to apply to it. Refer to my past blog post on Search Engine Optimization for more tips.
