Will Cost Per Keyword Continue To Increase In Google Adwords?

By Cyrus Yung On March 5, 2009 No Comments

Google Adwords has been one of the main tool to drive traffic/ generate sales in your website. And it has been known that since the start of Google Adwords, the price of competitive keywords has been increasing, so will this trend continue for years to come?

I will say that the price will continue to increase, as more and more people are using Google Adwords to promote their products or services. The maximum number of PPC ads shown in the search page is 10 only, and if there are 20 companies or persons wanting to advertise on the same keyword, then only the top ten highest bidders can only show on the 1st page of the search page. So do you think the other bidders will increase their bids in order to show their ads to the searchers? Only for those that have a lot of marketing budget, will be able to show their ads.

Increasing Your Quality Score In Adwords

By Cyrus Yung On February 23, 2009 1 Comment

For those who use Pay Per Click marketing in Adwords, we will always look at the quality score of the ad group. What do I mean by that? In Google Adwords, a new campaign is set up for a new affiliate or your own product you are promoting. Google will always look at the number of impressions of the keyword, the click through rate (CTR) of the keyword, relevance of the ad and the landing page for the ad group, in order to determine the price you pay for the click through.

The above few areas are also the ones that affect the quality score of the ad group.

How To Learn Google Adwords In A Week?

By Cyrus Yung On February 16, 2009 No Comments

Today will be a short post, as I realised that a lot of people kept asking me where you learn Google Adwords, who is your mentor etc… I do have a mentor and he will be releasing a PPC eBook soon, I am very excited to heard from him. The other thing is that there are also other eBooks or courses which you can learn Google Adwords from. But the best thing is always free from Google.

Introducing Google Adwords Learning Center, here is where you will learn all of the Adwords you want to know. And best of all, if you are able to master what it is teaching, it will be easier for you to know how Yahoo and MSN PPC works.

PPC ClassRoom 2.0 Reopens

By Cyrus Yung On January 31, 2009 1 Comment

I have heard some great news that PPC Classroom 2.0 will be reopening soon. Well I must say that this is one home study course that you MUST have if you are interested in PPC (pay per click). A lot of PPC strategies I use, came from PPC Classroom.

PPC Classroom is created by Anik Singal. I had the PPC Classroom (in physical) when it first came out back in 2007, it was expensive back then. But the knowledge that I have from the package is worth a ton of money for being in affiliate marketing. The truth is that95% of people do not make it in internet marketing, and most of the time when they first started out will use affiliate marketing as their starting internet marketing walk. well I was doing that when I first started, and is still doing it.

Negative Keywords: How To Use Them In PPC Marketing Part 2

By Cyrus Yung On December 30, 2008 No Comments

To continue from my last post, how to determine your negative keywords? First is to use manual thinking, think of things that are related to the keyword but not going to end up having a sale.

Let’s focus on the keyword “Ipod Classic 120GB” as an example again, what will be the negative keywords then? I will guess ‘Nano’, ’shuffle’, ‘touch’, ’speakers’, etc. As you can see, after input these negative keywords, my click through rate will greatly increase. These are the keywords that are not going to get sale from selling Ipod Classic 120GB.

Negative Keywords: How To Use Them In PPC Marketing Part 1

By Cyrus Yung On December 28, 2008 1 Comment

In the previous post, I shared that PPC Marketing requires three different types of keywords. Well I miss out that there is one more, it is negative keywords.

Before I go further, I shared that with broad, phrase and exact keywords in PPC, you will be able to market to the world. But it means that you will also get traffic that are not in the buying mode. Why do I say that? Let’s take for example that I am promoting “Ipod Classic 120GB ” for Amazon. So the keywords most properly be “Ipod Classic 120GB” or “Ipod”, using broad, phrase and exact match. But this will also invite the unwanted people who are looking for other Ipod things.

Pay-Per-Click Marketing Part 2

By Cyrus Yung On December 8, 2008 1 Comment

Google Adwords is the most sophisticated PPC management program and the best of all the three major search engine. That is why if you want to go into Yahoo PPC, you must go into Google Adwords first, then into Yahoo PPC or MSN PPC. WHY?

The Adwords program is not just way advance than the other two, but also it offers a very great keyword compilation of the past campaign. And do not forget that 60% of the online users use Google to search. So if you are able to perform a great keyword ch with click through rate of 5% and above. It means you are doing the right thing and Google rewards you, with low cost per click. Why?

Pay-Per-Click Marketing Part 1

By Cyrus Yung On December 7, 2008 1 Comment

A lot of people bleed using PPC to promote their products or services, because they do not know the difference between broad match, phrase match, exact match and negative match. Below are the meaning:

  • Broad match is the default setting for all keywords. All searches made using your keyword (in any order or combination) might display your ad.
  • Phrase match narrows your reach by requiring the words to appear in that exact order.
  • Exact match further narrows your reach by showing your ad when the exact phrase is used in the search — without any other words before, between, or after.
