It’s a well known fact that internet marketers will have at least 2 and above websites under their ownership, I have more than 5 now, what about you? Well I am not here to boast about my websites, but to tell you that all of them are of different niches, do not have any websites that are of the same niche. What I am saying is that have you ever though of competing your websites that is in the same niche?

There is a saying that if you compete with yourself, you will be able to see success very soon (Anyway it’s my saying, hahaha). But this is true that if you always want to better than yourself from yesterday. This can be done also in your websites as well.

By having another website that is of the same niche. You will ask why create another website that is of the same niche. There are a few reasons why you would do this:

1.Your first website might have not done something right, where you can use the second one to make sure you fill that in.

2.The second website will be a gauge whether the first website is decreasing in ranking or not, by knowing that the second one keep rising in ranking.

3.The second website although is in the same niche as the first, but the keywords can be cater to the different group of searchers, where you can get more traffic in all.

4.As searchers looking for your product or services, most will be in the browsing mode, so even if the first website has the first position for the particular keywords, searchers may not purchase or use your service. So the second website can in turn become the second net to capture the searchers. In this case, it is better for your second website to be in the third or forth position instead. As most searchers will not be going to the forth position, and they will click and use the third website (which is you also).

5.Lastly is that, if you set the second website to focus on different anchor text (inbound links), or focus mostly on off page optimization for the second one. You can be ready if the search engine’s algorithm change. This is especially true for Google’s case.

The thing is that if you want to really secure that niche and dominate there, this might be what you might want to do. Use all way to to let your website become stronger and deeper in the foundation.

That will be all for today’s internet marketing strategy. If you feel that this post is of good information to you, share this or comment below. Cheers!

Gone are the days that use the normal static website to promote your services or products online, as blogging are so easily setup, without the knowledge of HTML, you can blog where and when you want, as long as you have a computer and internet.

As blogging is becoming such a popular trend that every second a new blog is being setup, that’s scary and exciting to hear. But we are not to forget that website still carries a place in the searchers heart. Why is that so? Because websites initially deliver a corporate look to the online searchers, giving more confidence in purchasing product online. Whereas blogs are initially build to be a journal entry, so it carries a casual feeling for the searchers online, don’t you think so? Which will you most likely to buy from? It depends on the type of searchers you get.

But you will not know which type of searchers you are going to get, why not use both at the same time to drive traffic to your services or products?

This has work very well for a lot of people in driving traffic to you. Why this has work so well, its because websites are usually static, thus not updated frequently. But they are good in getting the primary keywords searchers to the website, and that is where most people will purchase for the products. This is like a huge net that catches the fishes in the biggest area (primary keyword). Websites are for those searchers that like to have a corporate feel.

For the blog, it will act as nets for secondary keywords or phrases that people are searching online. It is also use to reach out to searchers that like casual type of selling, something like recommending or reviewing. Blog can also strengthen the primary keywords of the websites by placing anchor text on the blog post, and directing traffic to the websites.

Using the two together, will help to get the most out of the traffic you are targeting, at the same time targeting both corporate and casual type of searchers as well. To read more on how to get more secondary keywords read ‘How To Choose Good Keywords For Your Niche‘.

I will make this article short (I hope). As search engines around the world have grown into a very sophisticated system, the ‘Black Hat Strategies’ of old has evolved into a new different ways to fool the search engines that their websites or blogs are related to the search term, that will ultimately place the website at a top position for that particular search term.

This has pissed Google off, as Google’s policy of relevancy and transparency are the opposite of ‘Black Hat Internet’ marketing strategies. What are the usual (or old school) black hat strategies?

1. Keyword stuff tags: this is where a web master or designer will usually jam the web page with the one keyword. Example; <META name=”keywords” content=”seo consultant, seo consultant, seo consultant”>. This will increase the number of keyword appearing, deciving the spiders that the LSI of the keyword is “seo consultant”. See picture below.

BlackHat1

2. Misusing of tiny text for repeating purposes: this works the same as the above as well.

3. Using of invisible text: this is interesting as you would ask, how can I use text for this post? Well it is quite simple. All you need to do is to change the colour of the text to the background colour, and a human eye will not be able to tell the difference. But the search engine spiders will be able to detect what you have done. A human can see the invisible by highlighting the invisible text, see below pictures.

BlackHat2

There are a lot more of ‘Black Hat Strategies’ which I do not want to share as it will defocus you and lead you to a bad reputation for the search engines.

Another question you might pop up now is that, what does the ‘Black Hat Strategies’ do that has cause so many web masters and designers do this and still continue to use it? All this started when some web master realised that by doing the above and other ‘Black Hat Strategies’, will drive traffic to their website in a short period of time. Whereas, when you use a “White Hat Strategies”, I must confuse that it is actually slowly.

BUT, after a few weeks or months, the search engines will realised that you (Black Hat Strategies user) are deceiving the searchers and the search engines, they will even bar you from their search engines. That is what Google will do. But ‘White Hat Strategies’ will continue to grow and become better, just like wine the longer the better. This is what you should be aiming for.

As of last year, the 70% of the global searchers uses Google Search Engine. This tells you in the long run you will be in a lost, and that Google might even want to ban all your other websites (in the same hosting), all because you have a website that uses ‘Black Hat Strategies’. It is just not worth it.

That will be all for my sharing on internet marketing strategy. If you have anything (please do not comment on the other ‘Black Hat Strategies’, sharing what they are) to share, please feel free to comment below. If this information is useful to you, please share with your friends or submit to ‘StumbleUpon’. Wish you success in internet marketing!

I stumble upon Google Blog yesterday, there is an interesting yet true study on where human eyes will see first when they landed on the search result page. I have known it since last year, and will share what are my thoughts that lead to this study.

The post was talking about how searchers when type in a certain keyword or phrases in Google search will look at FIRST. Below is a picture I took from the Google blog.

eyetracking

This is a picture of the heatmap where human eyes will look at, the darker it is, the longer they look at it. Let us go into study why this happens, it is very logical.

In every English speaking community, we will read from the top to the bottom, and from the left to the right. This is the clue that a SEO or PPC person must realize. That if you are not the on the top of the first search page for a related competitive keyword(s) or phrase in your niche, you will most properly not be getting the most out of the daily traffic throughout the world. By the way the above study holds true for all search network that has the same search result format as Google.

For SEO, needless to say that it is THE most important thing to get to the top 3 position of your niche keywords, where your targeted audience will go to your website or blog. As you can see that the heat stays around the top 3 position, then it slowly curve inwards. That is due to the browsing mentality of human being, when they realized that the first 3 are not what they are searching for, they will be in the scanning mode.

After they have click into your website, this is where you can really do your internet marketing strategies there, like capture leads, give special offer, do anything that can make them “Take Action”. This is the importance in marketing in all successful business.

For PPC, the heatmap tell us that a human will look to the left first then to the right. That has greatly decrease the chances of a PPC Ad being click on, because normally a PPC ad will appear on the right side of the search result. Thank God that sometimes (usually) a PPC can appear on top of the organic search as there are 10 PPC ads on the search page, of course this does not happen always, and I do not know the reason why as well. Another reason why a searcher will usually prefer to click an organic link rather than a PPC ad, is that an organic search link is more trusting than a PPC ad. Think about it, an organic search link is there, because Google thinks it is the most relevant search term for you, so the searcher will trust Google more than you, as PPC ads pay Google to be there, while organic links do not pay to be there.

But the good news for PPC ads is that as long as you position in the top 3 ads, your ad copy is very compelling for searchers to act, and that you target the right market through keyword research tool. Your Ads can still drive targeted traffic to your website.

Hope this post will help you understand more on internet marketing strategy, there will be more to come. If you find this post or blog is good, do comment or share with your friends about it. I will see you soon. Cheers!

A lot of people started wrongly before starting their website or blogging, that is to find out the actual traffic keywords that are related to their niche. The good news is that it can be corrected, and be on your way to search engine optimization success.

How do we find the actual keyword traffic of Google then? Simple! By creating a PPC campaign on Google Adwords. Thus determine the actual keywords that are related to your niche. Do note that if your ad position is in the top 4 position, you will most properly incur clicks, so the solution is to place your ad on the lowest position, incurring the lowest possible clicks. And its best you will want to write non take action wording on your ad as well, so it will further decrease the chances of others clicking.

Do note that your campaign is to be on Google search only, and switch off your content. Its because content search does not tell you the Google search engine search result which searchers are searching. Remember to use the actual and phrase match for the keywords you are buying for the PPC campaign, as you will find how many people searches for the term.

How do I start when I do not have a website yet? Ok, there are two solution basically. No 1 is to drive traffic to your competitor, yes driving traffic to your competitor. It may sound stupid to you, but if you have not started on a new website yet (especially if its your first), then you have to use it to determine the actual keywords, make sure you put your ad in the tenth position and your advertising words are not very call to action type as well.

The second solution is to build a landing page or a squeeze page. Of course your landing page, you must have some sort of relevant content or services you are offering on the landing page. Or you can use the squeeze page to generate leads at the same time, you must provide some free items or eBooks so the leads will give you their emails and name. Of the two, I will choose the second as I will be getting leads at the same time.

Here are the ways you must do to get the actual search results, do it in 2 weeks and see the results. The keywords that have the most impression will be most likely be your main keyword, the others will be your secondary keywords. Put those keywords into your title page, description, keywords tag and you content. And you are on your way to search engine optimization success.

Well that is all I have to share today, you might want to refer to my past post on search engine optimization and pay per click, do comment on the the above post if you have anything to add. As I am sharing on internet marketing strategy with all the people in the world. Cheers and be successful online. Cheers!

There is a lot of ways internet marketer make money, today I will share with you the internet marketer’s virtual property. This is one of the reasons why internet marketers make a lot of money.

Do you know why Donald Trump is one of the wealthiest property investor in the world? He sells dreams to people. So can you. How do you sell dreams to people? First you must have this platform of property, all you need to do is to setup a theme of website, maybe on action movies. The theme must be as specific as possible to narrow down the niche. Or you can even drill down to Asian action movies if you want to.

Then you start blogging about the focus theme and invite others to join in the blog as well. Why invite others? Its because if there is a team of people with the same interest, they will blog about it and even comment on the blog as well. This will increase the traffic into your blog. And not all the Asian Action Movies you are going to catch them, so have others write them for the blog. Of course their blog post will be review by you, you decide whether their blog post is good.

What we are doing here is building a shopping center and bringing traffic to the blog. If you can bring in 5,000 visitors a day, calculate the monthly traffic will be 150,000 looking at your blog, then you can start to advertise on your blog. What you will need is to write an email to those movie company, ask them whether they are interested in advertise on your blog. But sometimes, the company will contact you instead, because you have a lot of traffic. Of course you must put a traffic counter on the blog as well to indicate the number of traffic.

Try it. I have started it on my seminar event review blog, go there and have a look. Slowly you can start a new blog that is relevant to the first one, supporting each other and bringing more and more traffic to your blog. This is like building a hotel around your shopping center, or a theme park around the area with the similar theme.

That will be all now, see you soon and do comment on the the above post if you have anything to add. As I am sharing on internet marketing strategy with all the people in the world. Cheers and be successful online.

On my last post, I shared that there are ways to market your off line business online. They are Pay-Per-Click (PPC) marketing and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

For PPC, this is the fastest way to promote your service or product online in as fast as 15 minutes. There a few more advantages:

Cost effectiveness,

Geographical positioning,

Reach targeted customers,

Actual keywords hits analysis

There are three major search engines offering PPC, they are Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing and MSN adCenter. Of which Google has the biggest searchers, that is more than 60%. Yahoo has around 30%, whereas MSN around 10%. I too used PPC initially to promote affiliate products online. As I can see result fast. It has help me, but I was not familiar with the difference of broad match, exact match and phrase match. So I was paying a lot on my Cost Per Click (CPC) as I have a lot of unwanted impression and not targeted keywords. This is the learning lesson, and has taught me well. I will be sharing with you on more about AdWords PPC on later post.

SEO is known as Search Engine Optimization. It has a very distinct advantage over the other types of online marketing, that is getting F.REE traffic forever. Well of course you have to get the basic right in order to rank well in search engines. Here are the basics you must know on SEO:

On-Page Optimization,

Off-Page Optimization,

In Bound and Out Bound Links.

These three are the ones you MUST know on SEO, I will share with you on the topics in later post. For a quick review on why SEO is the best way to reach your target customers that is is F.REE, forever in the search engine if you are indexed and reach target customers.

That will be all for the day, I will share with you more tomorrow, do comment on the the above post if you have anything to add. As I am sharing on internet marketing strategy with all the people in the world. Cheers and be successful online.
